It's my understanding that ANYTHING under 100 years old is "vintage"...
"Vintage" is a "variable" word. I've heard that if "they don't make it anymore" that one year later it's considered to be vintage. (What does that mean for something 50 years old, but is still being manufactured?) I've also heard that it's not vintage until it's 25 years old.

The collective "we" assign too many meanings to too many words...
