I see many quilts in shows in the NE area in which the back of the binding is about twice the width on the back as the front. Consider it a Design Element and enjoy it. Everyone else will love it too ... except for a few disgruntled folk ... and that happens no matter what you do. Just listen to comments at a quilt show from the patrons and you'll hear what I mean.
