PArt of values are in the eye of the beholder. Something can sell for 5.00 one time and 1000.00 the next to someone for sentimental reasons. If you're looking at it as an item to keep then maybe you don't mind paying the price. If your thought is to someday recoop what you put out for it, it's not a good investment. Unfortunatly the market for those beautiful old treadles is at a huge low. Many are being scrapped or set on the curb. We deal in vintage machines and have turned down quite a few treadles because we just don't have the room for them.
Thank-you very much for you insight...I decided last year I would like to have a treadle, not sure why just think it would be neat to own one, but so far I have refrained, maybe because I don't feel I am educated enough so thank-you!
