I had posted about buying the little Singer play machine for my 4YO DGD. I keep having problems with it coming unthreaded but she's played with it some. Well, my 6YO DGS came this weekend (her brother) and he wanted to see the sewing machine I bought his sister. I showed it to him and how to work it. He can thread it better than I can. But soon, he got aggravated with the thread coming undone. So what's a Nana to do????? I showed him how to work my "new to me" 15-91 and within minutes he was sewing away. After sewing on about 4 scrap fabrics, he looks at me and says "What project do you have that I can sew?"
We didn't have time to start a project...it was baseball tournament weekend but I'm going to have one for him to do when he comes over to stay, now that school is out. I think we'll start with a pillowcase.
So I may have 2 new sewer/quilters in the family!! :)
