I have a 1938 Featherweight also. I paid a lot more than you did. The man I purchased mine from hunted for a 1938 because it is my birth month. He told me mine was born on May30th 1938 and that he had a book that he checked the factory number in. My birthday is June 9th so that's pretty close. I know you will love your new toy. They are such neat little machines. I love mine especially for paper piecing. You can get a teenytiny stitch that tears easily. Congratulations---ENJOY!!!
