I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this quilt. The pattern, The fabrics and the way in which they shoecase eachother well.
A few weeks ago I don't think I would have put this type of feather on this type of quilt until I saw one.....I wanted to give it some dimension of course so I kept the rest of the designs simple. I wanted those batiks to look like gemstones ..to just dazzle! So other than the feathers most of my quilting in in the black areas.
I used black warm and natural batting.
I quilted this freehand on my INNOVA.
