Congrats on your new machine. Take caare of it, and it will take care of you.

For quilting you don't need fancy this or that. A walking foot is nice for when you actually quilt with it, a 1/4" (6mm) foot is good for putting together the top. All the rest is fluff (not needed).

I have been quilting for 3 years now and still haven't sewn a single zigzag with my machine. Someday I might make a crazy quilt and break that record. For 99% of your work, a simple straight stitch is all you are ever going to use. The one thing I wish my used Bernina 830 had on it was a needle up/down switch. That just tells the machine where to leave the needle when you take your foot off the foot pedal.
