I had a small pup who liked to burrow so I made a baby carrier size of a back pack and she loved to lay in the bottom of the bag. The pattern had a privacy flap for nursing which covered the bag. On hot days I could run into a store so I did not have to leave her in the car. Once I went into a fabric store to quickly get a panel of quilted baby fabric and when I asked where they kept the baby fabric, pup popped her head out of the sack because Baby was her name. The clerk looked at her, then me and did not say anything about the dog. I think she thought "strange lady thinks this dog is a baby--mentally I'll:)". This was years before people carried dogs in bags as they do now. Otherwise no one ever knew she was in there and I could run into a store without leaving her in a hot car. Never leave a dog in a car in the warm days because the temp is too hot for them.
