Maybe its just me (?stingy?) I don't just walk around seeing pregnant people and give them quilts, therefore if I am giving a gift they know I have made the quilt myself just for them. SO! with that said if you KNOW this family then I wouldn't let it bother me, they are going to know that you made the quilt for THEM and that you're not trying to pass a thrift store quilt off as your own.
