When I worked in the fabric dept at the Walmart here, I loved talking to my customers (later - friends) Exchanging ideas, what they were working on, helping pick out just the right fabric, etc. Miss that part of working there, not the "I know what's best for this department upper management" part. The manager for fabrics took an order for bridal fabric for the wedding dress. It didn't come in and didn't come in and the wedding date was fast approching. She finally went to the store manager and found out that middle manager didn't think we need that much of that, not checking to see what it was for, and had cancled the order. Believe me, that bride had good reason to be very upset. She had to go some where else and we lost customers through no fault of our own.
