medallion has no specific size; whatever suits the centre and not necessarily just a plain border (perhaps applique or blocks or something)
So are we going by the instructions in the rules on the medallions? The instructions say:
Borders should be between 3" and 6"
Round 1 -- pieced border triangles
Round 2 -- appliqued border or machine embroidered
Round 3 -- pieced border, rectangles or squares
Round 4 --embellishment or border of your choice
Round 5 -- apliqued border
