Once I realised that you stitch all the fabrics in strips -then cut each end at a 45 degree angle, and then sew the top of those strips to the bottom - it makes into a tube, and again cutting at various widths across the tube gives you all the strips for the jacket. Lay the strips onto the jacket (muslin) base, and sew up just like you would to make a normal jacket.

The pattern didn't have a collar, and no pockets, so I just added those.

I have had strangers stop and ask me where I got the jacket - very popular.
