Yep as soon as the last stitch is in the binding I toss it in the washer and dryer. It gets all the starch out and to me it really makes it a useable quilt. Prior to washing and dring it just feels like fabric, and stiff fabric if I was in charge of spraying (starch) the fabric!LOL :)
