I once made a cousin a broomstick full size afgan for a wedding gift. When the invitation for the wedding came it said there would be a money tree so as not to receive duplicate gifts. Well, I had worked many hours on that afgan and she was going to get it. Instead of putting it in a box or nice wrapping I put it in a clear plastic blanket bag with a zipper. I place my gift by the money tree for all to see. I received a Thank you card and I forgot about it until her mother was showing me pictures of their nursery, she had twin girls, and there was my afgan on her rocking chair. She would use it when up in the night rocking her babies.
