Your pinwheels look great, I made a quilt using the same technique too. At first I thought I wouldn't like those bias edges, but as you said, they worked out fine. Your Thimbleberries fabrics are so pretty, love those colors. You were so smart to use some solid neutral too, it makes your quilt sparkle. You did a beautiful job!
