I will be brave and give a realistic answer. I make LOTS of quilts for co workers for gifts, occasionally commissioned (along with my friend who is also member on our quilt board). I just had to figure out the cost for two quilts both approx 63x63, okay now I purchased all the fabric at joann's With coupons including batting and thread (sale or coupon)

Fabric $5 a yard x 12 yards= $60
Thread = $10 (high est, but I use sulky)
Batting = $20 (queen packaged warm & natural)
Total materials only= $100 ( with tax)

Our time to piece, quilt and add love = PRICELESS
