I love the French Roses pattern and wanted to make one, but I am not fond of pastels. I decided to make mine with more modern bright fabrics, and to not make it exactly like the pattern. So here it is. I added the pink and orange bands across the center, and I made the inside border differently. My friend Corey Starkey is a long armer in Bakersfield, and she quilted it for me. I am trading some piecing for her for the quilting.

I love how it came out. I am thinking of entering it in our guild quilt show in January 2012.
