I have fabric that goes back 30 years to when I first started quilting...I love mixing some of the older fabrics with my "newer" fabrics as I love scrap quilts....am sad when I use the last of a fabric.
I am one that doesn't care for the brighter colors that are "popular" now, and newer fabrics I buy are reproduction fabrics. I have a 90 year old house with antique and vintage furniture and the new colors just wouldn't look right in my house.
The only time I have used the newer colors has been when I am making a quilt to give away...and they are fun to "play" with, but would not go with all my other fabrics and I give away the scraps when I am done.
