I had bought some fabric scraps -some appeared to have been prewashed, others not. I decided to rewash all of it since well who knows when or how it originally was washed. I was a bit worried about the reds , BUT they came through fine it was a piece of black that literally dissolved and left dye all over the other fabrics  The fabric was washed in cold water - normal cycle - any suggestions on trying to save the rest of the fabrics ?

Learn from my mistake , I think the fabric was older but at least if I lose this it won't be a finished quilt
