There is a tutorial on Disappearing Nine Patch on the board that is easy and can look very nice depending on your fabric choices. Go to Pictures and check the Quilt Gallery for lots of versions of it. The Four Patch Posy is a very interesting pattern as well. That is where you stack 4 fabric repeats and cut your blocks from the fabric in exactly the same spot. It gives you a kaleidoscope effect and is very pretty with small sashing. Warm Wishes is another quick but pretty pattern.
