Visa Versa here. We have a Plasma and yes you can see if from the sides. I have mine in the corner and you can see it from different angles! Now are LCD, different situation! You can't see it from the side view! And, it is not as clear as the Plasma! We have had our Plasma for going on 3 years now. It is a Panasonic and we purchased it from Sears and it is not a mirror like tv that you can see in while it is off! That is the way ours is! Love the Plasma over the LCD! We have 2 small (42") LCD's and our Plasma is a 50"! The plasma does have a clearer picture on it! That is my opinion!
