I made them for both of my grandbabies. I washed them a couple times before they were used and didn't see any strings on them. Neither baby stayed for long on the quilts and now they are drug all over the place. DD leaves them in the car so the grands will always have a quilt--warmth in the winter/spring and something to play/lay on in the summer fall.
