Ribbon is made from fabric strips. There are many kinds on the market. For quilting I think Double face satin (tightly woven but frays on cut edges), grosgrain ribbon, & cotton could be sewn into the quilt the same as fabric. Nylon & silk and other kinds of ribbon can be used as embelshments.
