Think of PC Quilter as a giant embroidery machine doing red work designs only. No fill. Your quilt frame is the machine bed, the frame itself is the hoop and instead of moving the hoop the carriage moves the sewing machine.

Your hoop size is limited by the size of your sewing machine. To get a larger hoop you’ll need to have a larger bed on your sewing machine. I use a Brother PQ1500s with 9 inches from the back to the needle giving me a useable 5 to 7 inches of quilting space.

You use a computer (some robotic quilters have an on board set up) to pick your design to use, just like embroidery, program it in and press the go button.
