I found a beautiful sewing cabinet at an antique mall for $25. It is solid wood, newer than the vintage I've seen, but my old Singers won't fit. The Hinge space is about an inch too wide. The Singers I have need about 9 1/4 inch space and this is a tad over 10 inches between. Any idea what machine this would fit? I had no idea that machine brands were different in this aspect. I have an old dressmaker I may try and measure. It's too pretty to just sit around my house.
Two sets of hinges, btw, so both sides unfold. 8-10 inches on the right "wing" and regular size on the left.
Any info is greatly appreciated.
