I have learned you do not need as much spray as I originally thought. I have never pinned although I am a new quilter. My Mom always pinned and I wanted an easier way. I learned to use the spray in a class @ my LQS. I have done it in my living room but like the hints by others of doing it outside and possibly pinning on the edge if needed. (I wouldn't have to worry about getting so close to the edge then)
