Thought I'd throw in my 2 cents worth. Mine went nuts when I tried to make it brighter. Took it in only to find out my Motherboard was going, he set the brightness and told me not to move it and maybe it would last. So I don't move it and have had no trouble since...knock on wood. My machine is a Pfaff.
