I love yellow too, but it's a very strong color that draws the eye. I think that's why many quilters use it sparingly in their quilts (when they use it at all) so it doesn't overwhelm the overall look.
I have several quilts that are either predominantly yellow or have yellow in them. I find it's a great color to use when used correctly. :D :D
