Patrice is absolutely right!!! Here's what my friend and LQS owner tells me, add time hours at cost you would expect to be paid for working at a job, fabric costs, batting cost, thread cost then multiply the total by 3 to get the charge for a customer. She would advise you to charge at least $250 for the 40 x40. In our market of many many beach goers, it works. Not every community is the same. You have to know your area and your audience. For me I put a lot of heart into my quilting, how do you charge for that??
