I live in Texas and...needless to say...it is HOT! My hair is about 3" above my knees. However, it isn't very thick, so it is not too heavy. It is also very straight - no body at all! I wear it down most of the time, but when I get home I twist it up and pin it. I have worn my hair long most of my life, but have also had it as short as 1". To me, because it is so thin and straight, it is much easier to wear it long because, when it is short, I feel I have to get perms and use curlers and lots of hairspray. Besides I have always loved long hair.
My mother is just the opposite. She prefers her hair short.
