Becky, just a thought about table heights. If you have a table with legs in your sewing room and want to raise the height, try the bed lifters. They look like oversized plastic cups and are used to raise the height of beds. Most discount stores have them. Some can raise a bed 6". Because the are strong enough to lift a bed and the sleepers, they can certainly hold a sewing room table. It might get you off the floor and help your back as well.
