My sister called; they haven't been evacuated yet. They took her husband's car to the Navy base for safekeeping. (They're both retired Navy), and have everything ready to go at a moments notice. She said the sky to the east is black and may of her friends that live out that way have lost their homes. Kate said everything is covered with soot and their pool looks like a swamp.
