As for the spray sizing, I read on this board about someone who washed their fabric and dried it and it didn't shrink. However, when they sprayed it with sizing and ironed it, it shrank. I remember it well, because I'mm planning on using that technique to shrink the middle of a quilt I'm working on to get it to the right size.
