GranTam asked me to post pictures of the jacket in my avatar. Basically, I made several small sized blocks and placed them on the pattern piece and then added more blocks and spacers until the piece was completely full. Then, of course, some of it was cut away to fit the sleeve, etc. The entire outer portion was completed and sewn together and then the lining was attached. It was lots of work but a lot of fun and very gratifying when it was completed.
