In my box of old attachments, there is another little brown paper bag with an attachment in it I haven't opened it not sure what is in there. It feels like the little twisted wire thing though.
Ok so I tested out the little twisted thing. In the instructions it said there were two of the little twisted things. I used the old Sears Commander, dropped the feed dogs and for the first time in my life I did some free motion. WOW!!! I did it. The little twisted wire thing works great. The Commander works real good for it. I do believe I'll just keep the machine set up like that until DGD claims her inheritance...
