Are you sure it is wax? You could freeze them, it solidifiys the wax and then just use your fingernail and scrape it off. I can't think of a wax tart! If it is some kids of glue stuff, you can use goo be gone. Look at the label you might be able to use it on wax also.
I'm positive it's wax. A wax tart is kind of like a scented candle, without the wick - it goes in a warmer. So my scissors smell pretty anyway.
