When I was looking at longarms, I test drove George and the HQ Sweet Sixteen. I liked the HQ Sweet Sixteen better than the George because of the position that you quilt with, it was quieter and seemed smoother and the price was alot better. However, that being said, I went with the Tin Lizzie DLS on a frame because it gave more bang for the buck. She was about the same price as the George, but, opened a whole new world of possibilities. My advice would be to road test each machine, do lots of research on each machine and then you would be able to make a educated decision. Good luck and have fun...it can be a bit overwhelming.
