many quilts are designed in gray-scale so that the color does not interfer with the design process-
a successful quilt has a nice balance of LIGHTS, MEDIUMS, DARKS...with disregard to color---i have found with the 3 color blind members of our family---they really (SEE) with the values....good contrast in value is seen regardless of what color used.
