oh, yes, maybe youre thinking of Angel Ministries? I think thats one place. You make an order for food and pick it up. You must pick it up and pay cash, if you miss picking up they will sell to someone else, but food is much cheaper here, and when you get back on your feet again you can donate to them. You can google them an in their site you put in your zip and can find one close to you sharet
arimuse, One of them is called the Harvest Food Pantry and all of the food is donated by local families and I'm hoping bigger stores like Walmart too but don't know about that. More people are receiving all the time - those who used to donate are now receiving. Both of the stores I mentioned are grocery stores you can't order ahead of time. Even the grocery carts are donated by other stores. Meals on Wheels in our area lost funding years ago. I'll have to google your suggestion of Angel Ministries and see what I can find out for our area. Thanks.
