I use them to anchor flower arrangements in the cemetery--just cut the right length and put over flowers and into the groung. My arrangements never blow away like others do. When I had a Girl Scout troop we used the wire hangers to make wreaths (great because you even have a hook after you round the large part.) My mother crochets around them and gives them away and to our hospital's thrift shop. Can't think of any more uses right now (give me awhile LOL.)
