I had to buy a new cord for one of my Featherweights and it cost me $19.99 at our local quilt store. I bought a Featherweight at a garage sale for $125. Saw a FW in a thrift store in horrible shape...no case, no book or attachements and the price tag FIRM was $325. They are expensive because they are popular, compact, only weigh 11 1/2 pounds and are great for taking to class or guild meetings....thus, the prices go up UP UUPP!
