I would take them if you do throw them out!
if is dry and brittle, you can place it in the freezer for a few days or mist with water and put in the fridge for a few days, the cotton threads will rehydrate!
DO NOT tear the top paper part off of the bobbins if you do not have a drop in bobbin. if you have a side or front load bobbin case, you need to leave the top paper on!
