Fitted ones are easiest to fold in half, put corner in corner then 2 corners into other 2 and fold. Little 4 ft.6in. gal taught me this when I was a newlywed. Yes, I fold and hang on the line. Usually don't have wrinkles if there is a breeze.
I do it that way, too. It's easy to do and they always come out nice and flat and smooth.
