I just looked at mine closely. Some of the vines look dead but there are new leaves on them. Do yours do that??
I'm going to leave it for now as it's blooming and put some mulch around it.

Did you cut it back last fall? I didn't, so mine will look like this but it will be fine. Mine is growing, but it is way too early for it to bloom.
