My understanding is that if it's a Redeye, it's a 66 - I think that's the only model that was ever routinely decorated with those decals.

And if the attachments clamp onto the back of the presser bar instead of the side, it's a 66, because I think the 66-1 was the only Singer domestic machine made with back-clamping attachments. My 66-1 back-clamper has lotus decals in pretty poor condition, but it sews like a champ and all the attachments make it a lot more versatile than I used to think a straight-stitcher could be. :)

I doubt that you would be able to use any parts from a 66 to repair a 127 - a few screws might fit from one to the other, but they're very different machines. I haven't ever tried to make this kind of substitution, though, so if someone with experience at this has told you that it will work, trust them over me.

If you will pm me and send me a picture of the part you need for your 127, I might be able to pull it off of one of my 27's.

I would LOVE to find a Redeye in pretty condition. :) The ones around me are usually in terrible condition. The few that I've seen that were pretty were priced way too high for my budget.
