Joanie, my 80+ year old parents had the same problem with their tiny cell phone. There are phones out there that have larger numbers/buttons. I found one for them from our local Verizon store and they seem to be managing quite well with it.

I think what I miss most is the clarity - sometimes I feel like the wind is blowing the towers -- and I miss holding it in the crook of my neck while I'm doing something else. The little cell phones drop so easily. I hate wearing an earpiece and my eyesight is getting worse with old age and playing with a cell phone isn't fun when I have to find my reading glasses to look at it. But we're saving money and I guess that counts, right? I'd go back to the corded phones in a flash if I could. Tough keeping up with technology.
