Glue method binding Sharon Schamber:
http://quiltinggallery.com/2008/05/1...s-school-glue/
I had a lot of trouble with the glue method, even though Sharon makes it look so easy. Like anything else, I guess it takes some practice. I used too much and when I heat set it with the iron, it spread out to the width of the binding and stuck there and I couldn't hand stitch through it. I didn't want to wash the whole quilt with all the raw edges exposed, so I did it by hand in the kitchen sink, a few inches at a time, rubbing the glue off between my fingers, which was hard to do because it was already dried and stiff. Thank goodness I had done only one side. Anyway, it was a mess and took forever; scrubbing it with my fingers also distorted the binding strips. Anyway, I will never do it again. I just pin it and stitch by hand and I'm good. Never stick myself either!

I just read this. I didn't mean to say that I'm good at doing this binding like I'm bragging. I meant to say that I'm good to go and everything is all good. I certainly don't want to come off looking like a braggart!
