I've had cell only for about 11 years. Hated the landline company and when the line went bad, just disconnected and didn't look back. I get my internet through wireless broadband and only had trouble once with lengthy no service because some thief stole the wiring from the tower! When I was looking at internet service I could choose landline & dial-up (DSL not available) or wireless broadband. Even though the broadband is $52 a month that is cheaper than basic phone & DU, and much, much faster. My cell phone is usually on the charger most nights because where I work, coverage is faint and spotty and that eats the battery. (Building's fault, not location) I also keep a car charger in the car just in case.
