I purchased the oh soooo soft flannel fabrics pictured below for a new grandson to be born in October. This will be my first baby quilt that is pieced. I am thinking perhaps a simple pattern of 6" squares. I added a plain blue and pale green that match the fabrics pictured. That will give me 6 different fabrics to work with.
A) Do I have enough variety? do I need another print?? :?:
B) What pattern would you suggest? :?:
C) Coming from a sewing background I am tempted to serge the seams; as we all know.. it will be washed dozens of times. However, think this will create too much bulk and not be comfortable for baby. :|
D) HELP!
The small bundle pictured is for borders to burp cloths.
Thank you everyone!
