Go find a vintage machine like a treadle or something like that for her to learn to sew on. The quilts that will come off of the machine will mean so much and the fact that she is using a piece of history to make it will even teach her more about the history of the hobby. Welcome aboard and I can not wait to see the quilts that you two will be working on!!
